BITS Pilani (an Institution of Eminence in India) has entered a partnership with RMIT University, Australia, to develop a Higher Education Academy called BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy. The BITS-RMIT Academy offers collaborative degree programmes at the international level.

Students admitted under this collaboration will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in diverse cultures and gain a truly global perspective. In this 4-year collaborative 'dual degree' programme, students will spend the first two years along with a summer term at BITS Pilani campuses before getting transferred to RMIT campuses in Australia for the remaining two years (i.e., years 3 and 4) of their study period. Our innovative curriculum combines the strengths of both academic environments, offering an outstanding education that would prepare them for success in today's rapidly changing world. With state-of-the-art facilities, inspiring faculty, and a wide range of extracurricular activities, this collaboration would be the perfect place to launch students' productive academic and professional journeys.

It is planned to admit students in the following four undergraduate programmes from two leading universities from the Academic Year 2026-27 programmes onward.

     • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure) (Honours) by RMIT and B.E. Civil by BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus

     • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) (Honours) by RMIT and B.E. Mechanical by BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus

     • Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic & Computer Systems Engineering) (Honours) by RMIT and B.E. Electronics and Communication by BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus

     • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) (Honours) by RMIT and B.E. Electrical and Electronics by BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus

     • Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering) (Honours) by RMIT and B.E. Computer Science by BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus

     • Bachelor of Computer Science by RMIT and B.E. Computer Science by BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus
